Premier League Big Match: Liverpool Vs Manchester United

Good day everyone,
The douche bag is here to give you a preview of an upcoming big match between Liverpool (My favorite club) and Manchester United. Lets see the probable line up for the most anticipated football match in England.

Liverpool

Reina, Kelly, Skertel, Carragher, Enrique, Downing, Luca, Adams, Kuyt, Carroll, Suarez. Sub: Bellamy, Gerrard, Doni, Henderson, Flanagan, Johnson, Rodriguez

Manchester United

De Gea, Rafael, Jones, Ferdinand, Evra, Young, Nani, Fletcher, Anderson, Welbeck, Rooney. Sub: Park, Lindegaard, Giggs, Hernandez, Vidic, Valencia, Fabio

Prediction:

As a Liverpudlian, I will be biased in predicting the outcome of this match. If Stevie G has been declared to be fully fit for this match, it will be a major boost for Liverpool and considering Wayne Rooney has just had miserable moment this week (got sent off in England-Montenegro game and got his father and uncle jailed for their involvement in betting scandal), I think Liverpool has a great chance to win this match and hands the invincible Manchester United their first defeat of the season. I would say Liverpool will edge Manchester United by 3-2. Kuyt will score a goal through penalty and Andy Carroll will silence his doubters by a well-taken header (Don't wanna name the other scorers....but you'll be surprised)

Key Players:

Luiz 'Can't Get Enough' Suarez

He will torture Ferdinand and Jones throughout the match with his blistering pace and constant movement. Suarez might not be a proven goalscorer but he always effectively create space in the opponent area, which allows other players to get a shoot or penetrate into penalty box. He sometimes wins free kicks in dangerous position to help Liverpool create chances.

Stewart Downing

His presence in Liverpool's team is very important because he will be the only player, beside Stevie G, who can deliver pin point and accurate cross to Andy Carroll. He can play in both flanks. If he can provides Andy Carroll with those crosses, we'll have greater chance to win.

Stevie G

If you don't know what 'G' stands for, then obviously, you don't know much about football. If he fits, he will be the most dangerous player on the pitch coz' he can always make the difference when things are not going into Liverpool way. He is 'Captain Fantastic' and his ability to set the tempo and win the battle of midfield will be crucial for Liverpool to win this match.

Wayne Rooney

When he is on song, he is a brilliant footballer. He might not as brilliant as Pele (I disagree and object to Sir Alex's Pele remark), but he's skill that makes him one of the best strikers in the world. His determination and physical strength to fight for any loose balls are magnificent. I hope the 'good' Wayne Rooney won't show up this week.

Luis Nani

Nani has drawn many admirers this season and he has proven to the world that he's as good as Christiano Ronaldo. He is fast, tricky, full of confidence and he can hurt you from the outside. He scores lots of goals this season and half of them are quite sensational. Watch out for his play acting to get people red carded because he is as talented as Luiz Suarez (in term of theatrical ability).

Ashley Young

Ashely Young is the best Manchester United signing this season. The young winger is obviously on fire. He scores lots of goals for England and Manchester United this season. He's very fast and very difficult to mark. He'll be Liverpool's biggest threat throughout the match.

So, that's all folks, I hope Liverpool can close their gaps in standing and one step closer to knock Manchester United off their perch. It's very interesting match to watch. Good day and have a great weekend. YNWA.

Premier League Week 4 Preview: Stoke City vs Liverpool

Ahoi.....

As a douche bag and a Liverpudlian, I would like to predict the match result between our beloved team, Liverpool FC and Stoke City at Britannia Stadium this Saturday, September 10, 2011. This is my probable line up for the match:

Stoke City:
Asmir Begovic, Jonathan Woodgate, Ryan Shawcross, Marc Wilson, Robert Huth, Dean Whitehead, Glenn Whelan, Matthew Etherington, Jermaine Pennant, Kenwyne Jones, Jonathan Walters

Liverpool:
Pepe Reina, Glen Johnson, Jamie Carragher, Daniel Agger, Jose Enrique, Lucas Leiva, Stuart Downing, Charlie Adams, Jordan Henderson, Luis Suarez, Craig Bellamy

I hope Craig Bellamy will start ahead of Andy Carroll in this game. It is because I think Bellamy will be more effective running through big and tall Stoke defenders, guys like Huth, Shawcross and Woodgate are hard to beat in the air. Therefore, you need tireless attackers to shake their heavy legs. If King Kenny decides to start with Carroll, we might have a slight problem scoring goals in this match. We all know that Stoke's style of football is very direct. Therefore, Liverpool should try to pass the ball and maximize their advantages in pace and speed to create plenty of scoring chances in this match. Watch out for Rory Delap and his famous long throw. He might not be in the line up yet, but his name could pop up before the game begins.

Johnson Dilemma

I would love to see Glen Johnson start for Liverpool although I don't think King Kenny will risk losing one of his best players who just returned from injury. So he might start with Skrtel instead. In the end, this game will be a tough game to predict since both teams have yet to suffer any losses this season and they are eager to defend their perfect record. I think Liverpool will edge this one and comes out victorious at Britannia Stadium. Final score: 2-0, Suarez and Bellamy will be on the score sheet. Douche bag out.

Maudy Ayunda, The Next Indonesian Heartthrob

Maudy Faza Ayunda was born in Jakarta, December 19, 1994 and one of Indonesian rising stars who will be featured in both music and film industries in years to come. She made her acting debut at the age of 12, starring in a movie titled Untuk Rena (For Rena) in 2006.

In 2009, she was involved in the most eagerly anticipated movie of that year, Sang Pemimpi (The Dreamers), portraying a beautiful Malay girl named Zakiah Nurmala, one of the main characters’ love interests.

However, unlike the other young actresses or actors, Maudy, who is currently studying at Mentari International School, always prioritizes her education ahead of her acting career. “I’m very selective in choosing a movie. I will only act during my school holidays. I will never skip classes just to act in a movie,” she revealed during a press conference some time ago. She justified her commitment in her study by winning a second place in a speech competition and receiving various awards in her academic record.

She also launched a single titled “Tiba Tiba Cinta Datang” (Love Comes Unexpectedly) in 2009 (I think)…and recorded some songs in you tube. I will post two of her clips that will make you in love with her. She’s pretty talented musician, in my opinion, and she could be the next big thing in music industry if she continues her impressive performance in the future.

As a douche bag, after watching her latest movie, “Tendangan dari Langit” (A Kick from Langitan) last week, I was really impressed by her look, not her acting ability. You know what; I think her singing ability is ‘so so’ as well. I don’t think she’ll emerge to become one of Indonesian divas in the future. That would become her major obstacle, wouldn’t it? People might overlook her acting and musical ability because of her looks. Time will definitely tell if she has what it got to be a superstar. But in the mean time, let’s caress this moment, enjoy her innocent, mesmerizing beauty before she reaches her twenties and become a snob. I mean I’m not implying that she will become one, but the potential is always there. It is common knowledge that young celebrity has potential to push that ‘self-destruction’ button in their early 20s. Let’s hope our Maudy will end up differently. I think she will become an Indonesian heartthrob in film industry in five years (not sure about music industry).

In the end, I’m just going to say this once: “Girl, despite your fluent English, you need to improve your acting and singing abilities to silence your doubters or people will always, I mean, forever and ever, remember you as a beautiful girl who takes part in Indonesian blockbuster movies.” Douche bag out.

The Reds March On with an Impressive Victory Over Bolton Wanderers

Ola….welcome,

I was really happy last week after watching my team, Liverpool defeating Bolton 3-1 at Anfield. I was happy to see everything went according to plan and to see that Liverpool is doing well at the beginning of the season. But, let’s not get carried away with the early results because we will have our first real challenge next week when we have to play against Stoke City. Here is the match report that I obtained from Sky Sports.

Liverpool produced an impressive performance to overcome Bolton 3-1 at Anfield and continue their strong start to the season.

The opening goal came on 15 minutes when Jussi Jaaskelainen brilliantly denied Stewart Downing following a sublime Luis Suarez cross, but Bolton could not fully clear their lines and Jordan Henderson rifled an excellent finish into the top corner.

Any chance Bolton had of getting back into the game was snuffed out in the space of a couple of minutes in the second half as Liverpool extended their lead from one goal to three.
First it was Martin Skrtel who made it 2-0 with a powerful header from a corner on 52 minutes, before Charlie Adam fired in a low shot from the edge of the area.

Bolton grabbed a late consolation thanks to Ivan Klasnic but the final whistle blew moments later to leave Liverpool top of the table on goal difference ahead of Sunday's action.

So, I’m looking forward to see our performance against stronger opponent, Stoke City next week. Hopefully, we can get three points as it would give us a major boost to face Man United in the following week. And I’m really really desperate to see us beating Man United again this year. See ya next time. Good bye.

2011-2012 English Premier League Matchday 2: Arsenal 0 - Liverpool 2

Ola, This week has been great for me and my fellow Liverpool fans (Liverpudlians) following a 0-2 win at Emirates Stadium. This is our first win over Arsenal at their own stadium (both Highbury & Emirates)in 11 years. So, I'm really delighted with this win. The man of the match goes to the usual suspect,Luiz Suares, who just came in on the second half of the game. HIs rapid movement and energy lifted up the Reds to nail this game, which was under their control following the dismissal of Emanuel Primpong (another promising Arsenal youngter) for a challenge on Lucas Leiva. I personally didn't watch the game but I do believe that this could be a sign of bright future ahead for Liverpool FC. It would be foolish if I said Liverpool would win the premier league this season. However, the current performance is encouraging and I hope we'll get better every week. They said Liverpool won because Arsenal was having problems with injuries and suspension issues, but a win is a win, so at the end, we had the three points, fair and square. Alrite folks...see you on the next match, have a great week. YNWA....

These are some photos that I borrow from Liverpool official website (Hope, I don't violate any laws or copyright act):

Children Sweets: Unhealthy yet Enticing

When we were younger, we did not care much about things that we did or food that we ate. We just did what we wanted to do, as simple as that. Now, I would like to share about sweet/ snack that I used to munch back then when I was about probably in between 7 to 12 years old. As far as I can recall, all of them were pretty good. Alrite, without further a due, here are the list of sweet that I liked the most when I was a kid (well, actually, I still eat them whenever I can)

Cotton Candy

Cotton candy (U.S., Canada), candy floss or candyfloss (UK, Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa), or fairy floss (Australia) is a form of spun sugar. Since cotton candy is mostly air, a small initial quantity of sugar generates a tremendously greater final volume, causing servings to be physically large. A typical serving on a stick is approximately one ounce and contains roughly 115 calories (Wikipedia). Well, cotton candy usually leave not so good feeling after we consumed it. We really need to prepare a glass of mineral water to clear our throat. However, in my world back then, cotton candy became something that I had to buy whenever I went to amusement park. I mean, I didn't have fun getting all those crazy rides without it on my hand, it was crazy. In Indonesia, you can buy cotton candy for only Rp5,000 these days. Yup, it does not even cost you a dollar (based on my own experience buying cotton candy on the street). Three things to describe cotton candy: sticky, sweet and colorful.

Arum Manis (Indonesian Cotton Candy)

Arum manis is a type of cotton candy with crackers, well not really crackers but its a type of handmade crackers, which are quite crunchy but tasteless. The reason I like arum manis because it always brings back my childhood memory whenever I bite it. it costs abit more expensive than cotton candy, well not quite if we consider the number of arum manis we can get by paying the same amount of money for cotton candy. it will cost you Rp5,000 for 5 pieces of arum manis. three thing to describe arum manis are crunchy, sweet and fun.

Gulali (still not yet defined but it might be candy floss)

Gulali is my favourite. This is how they make gulali (I'm just making this up). First, they will burn the sugar and mix it with food coloring. Second, they will wait until it becomes as hard as wax/ candle. However, I think they will have to keep the sugar under certain temperature/ heat. Because usually, when I buy gulali, I can ask them to shape those sugar into an object (mostly animal). So, while its hot, they can bend, pull and shape the sugar without any problems. The catch is most of the sellers do not wash their hands before they touch/ modify the sugar dough. Nevertheless, the taste is good and sweet. Three things to describe gulali are exciting, tasty and sweet.

Alrite, that's all for now. I'll give you more information regarding lots of silly things in the future. Thank you, mind my language, and have a nice day....douche bag out!!!

The Best American Idol Winner Goes to...

An American talent reality television series, American Idol, has recently wrapped its tenth season since it was started in 2002. I have been wondering who stand out the most or who has been selling more seats during a concert among those American Idol winners. I mean, don't you feel curious to find out who have managed to fulfill their star potential after defeating hundreds of contestants in the show?? Alrite, I'll try to give you brief review that I gather from Wikipedia to provide you a glimpse of their potential and what they have achieved in their musical career so far. Here are the first five Idol winners:

Kelly Clarkson, American Idol Season 1 Winner

Kelly Clarkson has released four albums to date under RCA Records: her multi-platinum debut album Thankful (2003) (which was nominated for a Grammy Award and sold more than 4 million copies worldwide), her multi-platinum second album Breakaway (2004) (which won two Grammy Awards and sold more than 12 million copies worldwide), her platinum third album My December (2007), and her latest platinum album All I Ever Wanted (2009) (which was nominated for a Grammy Award and sold more than 7 million copies worldwide).

Ruben Studdard, American Idol Season 2 Winner

Ruben Studdard received a Grammy Award nomination in December 2003 for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for "Superstar." Studdard has released four studio albums, including his most recent disc, 2009's Love Is. He won Outstanding New Artist: Soulful in Image Award in 2004. He was nominated in numerous music awards during 2003-2005.

Fantasia Barrino, American Idol Season 3 Winner

Following her victory, she released her debut single, "I Believe", which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Subsequently, she released her debut album, Free Yourself, which went on to be certified Platinum by the RIAA and garnered Barrino three Grammy nominations in 2006. In 2006, she released her second album, Fantasia, which featured the single "When I See U" which topped the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for eight weeks. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA and received three Grammy nominations in 2008. Her third studio album, Back to Me, was released worldwide on August 24, 2010 and features the single "Bittersweet," which peaked in the top ten on the R&B chart. The single won her a Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.

Carrie Underwood, American Idol Season 4 Winner

After conquering American Idol, Underwood has since become a multi-platinum selling recording artist, a multiple Grammy Award winner, a Golden Globe Award nominee, a three-time Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Female Vocalist winner, a GMA Dove award winner, and a two-time ACM Entertainer of the Year. She is the first-ever female artist to win back-to-back Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards for Entertainer of the Year (2009/10). Underwood was inducted into and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2008. She was also inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2009. (fiuhhh...awesome and she's hot too)

Taylor Hicks, American Idol Season 5 Winner

Upon winning Idol, he was signed to Arista Records, under which his self-titled major label debut was released on December 12, 2006. His energetic stage performances and influences derived from classic rock, blues, and R&B music had earned him a following of devout fans, who have been dubbed the "Soul Patrol." He is currently on tour in Grease playing Teen Angel, the role originated by Alan Paul. The new CD, The Distance, was released March 10, 2009, with the first single, "What's Right Is Right", going to AC adds January 27, 2009. The second single was confirmed to be "Seven Mile Breakdown" via his Myspace page.

Ok...I think that's it for now. Thank you Wikipedia for the valuable information. I don't think I will write the second part of this story. I personally think that Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are best winners of Americal Idol. They are not only winning various awards but people around thw world are willing to listen to their songs. So, I pronounce them as the winners of this (time consuming) battle.

Benefits of Fasting during Ramadan

Assalamualaikum,

How are you ladies and gentlemen? have you ever heard a term called 'fasting'? I bet you have. In fact, if you happen to live in a Muslim country, you certainly will be familiar with it. I always wonder what benefit we can get from doing this fasting ritual, particularly during Ramadan. As far as I'm concerned, in my point of view, fasting is a form of cleansing oneself from sins and mistakes committed in the past and it will teach us how to control our emotion, attitude and behavior. In Islam, we believe that Ramadan month is a month of blessing. We should do lots of good deeds during Ramadan month to erase all our sins and show our devotion to God.

Furthermore, fasting does not only bring spiritual benefits to our mind and soul. Some experts have this belief that fasting could bring positive impact to our body. Let me post some information that I gather (during my spare time) on the net. This one is from medindia.net written by Thilaka Ravi.

Fasting is especially beneficial in the following situations:-

• Finding relief from a variety of health disorders may no doubt begin my making lifestyle changes. Supervised fasting for a stipulated period helps patients make those required changes in their life that will positively influence their health.

• Fasting is a blessing to overcome addictions - to caffeine, nicotine, drugs, smoking and alcohol. Fasting helps lower withdrawal symptoms, which commonly deter people from overcoming addictions.

• Fasting helps lower cholesterol.

• Fasting works wonders in alleviating disorders of the gastrointestinal system like constipation, bloating, and gastritis.

• A supervised fasting program is a boon to diabetics to make crucial lifestyle and diet changes, sacrosanct to effective treatment of the condition.

• Fasting improves mental alertness - when toxins are cleared out of the lymphatic system and blood stream, it improves mental clarity. Further, eating less results in energy conservation, which can be used by the brain for thinking tasks.

Briefly, a fast could result in:-

• Weight loss
• Improved mental clarity
• Improved breathing
• Improved energy levels
• Good skin
• Rejuvenated digestive system

Very good analysis. Although, I would like to add that fasting in Muslim country does bring lots of excitement and joy, particularly when you find abundant of food served in front of you on the street. I mean, look at these pictures below, aren't you feel hungry right now? I've been experiencing break-fasting ritual in Malaysia and Indonesia. Both countries have various kind of food and unique style in serving them. In Malaysia, you don't need to wait for certain amount of time to get your food while in Indonesia, you need to act like a cave man (if you know what I mean) to get your food. Oh well, there are always positive and negative sides in buying some food for break-fasting preparation but I enjoy them all.

This picture shows a situation on one of the night markets (Pasar Malam) in Malaysia prior to break-fasting ritual. Pasar malam is opened from afternoon until evening during certain period of time in different areas in Malaysia. (I mean different areas have different locations and time)

I'm not sure about this but I assumed this picture shows a market in Malaysia during Ramadan month. (Colorful cakes, aren't they?)

The photo shows variety of food being sold at Benhil area in Jakarta.

How to Make A Pancake

A Yummy pancake, a hot chef. Well, this is a dubious video on how to make a pancake. It might be useful but I really doubt it. Seriously, I think I should add some notes to make it more understandable. Ah...douchebag out.

Indonesia Vs Turkmenistan: A Seven-Goal Thriller in Jakarta

Ola, Apa kabar?, Anya hap seo?, Ni Hao? Whats up guys? the douchebag is back. He's back with an analysis from one of the weirdest football match that he ever witnessed at Gelora Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta. This is one of the pre-qualifying matches for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, which we barely won last night. I mean seriously, we were up by 3-0 at halftime and even scored another goal to put the game beyond our opponent with 10 minutes reamining. But, this is football, where anything can happen in space of seconds. Remember Istanbul? or MU-Munich during 1999 champions league final? yup, Turkmenistan almost did the impossible thing, clawing back from 4-1 deficit and almost pulled an upset last night. But, God is great, He wants us to continue our journey and create some possible upsets while putting some scintillating football skills in the next round. These are some pictures taken from last night's game that I gathered from the net.

What a brilliant header by Christian Gonzales, a great finish after receiving a well taken cross by M. Ilham (if I'm not mistaken). Indonesia leads by 1-0.

(I wonder why the picture looks identical with the first one. Ah....lets move on) Another great finish from the Uruguayan-born striker who won 6-goalscoring titles while playing his football in Indonesia. Great skill from Boaz who opted to pass the ball instead of taking a goalscoring opportunity to add up the scoreline. 2-0.

Wow, a truly magnificent goal (Some spectators who were sitting next to me were surprised). It was stunning goal. M. Nasuha scored a world class goal that we can only see in European league matches. Even David Beckham would be proud of that strike. Congrats M. Nasuha, your goal should be a contender for the goal of the tournament (what tournament?? we haven't even qualified yet...such a silly remark)

And then, came the second half where hatful of chances were wasted by Indonesian players, particularly Boaz Solossa. I like the way he played, but the finishing just wasn't there. A pity. And suddenly, Turkmenistan pulled a goal back, a wake up call for Indonesia. 3-1.

Goallllll. Indonesia finally ended their misfortune in front of goal by scoring another long range effort. M. Ridwan, the midfielder, who often loses his balance while playing football, shot the ball passed the hapless Turkmenistan goalkeeper. 4-1 Indonesia. That's it.

That's what we thought. Unfortunately, Turkmenistan had another idea. Despite being down to 10 men, they managed to mount a serious comeback with two quick successive goals in 83th and 86th minutes. They failed to win the game thou, but they surely gave us and Indonesian team a late scare and plenty things to think about.

My concern is players' stamina and their lack of concentration at the end of every game that they play. This is my analysis. If we don't have good stamina to play until the end of the match, how we could even concentrate on our game plan and guard our opponents, particularly if we play against a world class team in the next round. Next issue is intelligence. we should play smart football and try to control the tempo. In my opinion, the most important aspect in a football match is a battle of midfield. Once you control and win the midfield battle, you will win that match. So, I think by improving our stamina, our focus will automatically be improved as well in every match that we play. About the intelligence, well, just keep practicing the game plan ok. So, bravo my Garuda...I'm very proud of you. Lets take another baby step in the next round.

I'll Be There for You

This is one of my favorite songs in the 90s, it brings me so much sweet memories during my high school years. So, Just sit back and enjoy the song. Oh..You can also sing along if you want. Cheers!!!

"I'll Be There For You"

I guess this time you're really leaving
I heard your suitcase say goodbye
Well as my broken heart lies bleeding
you say true love is suicide

You say you've cried a thousand rivers
And now you're swimming for the shore
You left me drowning in my tears
And you won't save me anymore

Now I'm praying to God you'll give me one more chance, girl

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you
When you breathe I want to be the air for you
I'll be there for you
I'd live and I'd die for you
I'd steal the sun from the sky for you
Words can't say what love can do
I'll be there for you

I know you know we've had some good times
Now they have their own hiding place
Well I can promise you tomorrow
But I can't buy back yesterday

And Baby you know my hands are dirty
But I wanted to be your valentine
I'll be the water when you get thirsty, baby
When you get drunk, I'll be the wine

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you
When you breathe I want to be the air for you
I'll be there for you
I'd live and I'd die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you
Words can't say what a love can do
I'll be there for you

[Solo]

And I wasn't there when you were happy
I wasn't there when you were down
I didn't mean to miss your birthday, baby
I wish I'd seen you blow those candles out

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you
When you breathe I want to be the air for you
I'll be there for you
I'd live and I'd die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you
Words can't say what a love can do
I'll be there for you

Brain Freeze: Why and How to Deal with It

Hi....D douche bag is in d house yo.....

Its been a while since the last time I actually wrote something in this blog. I've been working like there is no tomorrow and nothing seems to prompt my creative mind to come up with an idea. Anyway, I found this article in Yahoo.com, which might be intersting for some of you who are big fans of ice cream. Remember when you have great time eating your ice cream and suddenly, there is this painful uncomfortable headache running towards your brain? yup, this is what we called 'brain freeze'. Let me post an opinion of a mother who might have the answer on how to deal with the problem and the explanation on why this phenomenon can happen to anyone.

So what causes ice cream headaches in the first place? It has to do with the nerve receptors above the roof of your mouth. When you take a bite of ice cream, some of it touches the top of your mouth, otherwise known as the hard palate. That in turn triggers the nerves above the palate to cool down — and quick. The nerves send an emergency message to the brain that it’s about to get cold up there, and the blood vessels in the brain constrict to accommodate. When the warm blood rushes through the blood vessels again — presto! You get a searing headache similar to a migraine. Ouch! But don’t worry though, this kind of headache does not signify a serious problem.

How do you deal with it? To keep yourself from getting the freeze in the first place, try eating cold foods slower than usual and keep that ice cream away from the roof of your mouth if you can.

There you are, a simple solution to make your life better!!!! see you next time, Adios

Child Prodigies: Will They Ever Become Billionaires?

As a douchebag, I have never ever imagined that I would be able to solve a math equation at the age of 5, nor conduct a surgery at the age of 7. In fact, I almost spent my entire childhood, playing hide and seek, cop and bandit with my cousin, trying to catch grasshoppers with my bare hands and playin video games. Since I watched this TV program, showing numerous children with various talents and gifts, I have been wondering how things would have turned out differently if I were one of them. I could probably rule the world with my brain and become the richest man alive......the wealthiest man in the universe, or could I? Over the years, well actually since I was born, I have never seen someone who possesses an exceptional IQ has ever earned that much in the world. I might be wrong, but based on my experience, people like Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Steve Jobs, Richard Branson or Warren Buffet who influence so many people and change their way of living do not possess the same level of intelligence compared to Einstein or these young prodigies. Here are some young prodigies that I found in Wikipedia:

March Tian Boedihardjo was born in the year 1998, a child prodigy of Chinese-Indonesian descendant, born in Hong Kong with family roots from Anxi and Fujian, but was raised in United Kingdom in 2005. At the age of 9 year-old and 3 months, March Boendihardjo, passed the A-level exams in Britain, gaining all A’s in mathematics, B statistics and gained 8 GCSEs, which he made it at the same time as his A-levels.

The next story shows us that being a genius doesn't mean you will have a happy life as a person......

Sufiah Yusof first made headlines in 1997 when she gained entry into St Hilda's College, Oxford to study mathematics at the age of 13. In 2001, she ran away from her student flat in Oxford, after taking her final examination paper for the academic year. She was found working as a waitress in a Bournemouth Internet cafe two weeks later, but refused to return home, alleging that her parents made life difficult for her at home. She stayed with a foster family instead. In March 2008, a reporter working undercover for the News of the World found her advertising as a prostitute under the name Shilpa Lee, quoting a rate of £130 an hour. In December 2008 an Islamic organisation reported that Sufiah had regretted her activities as a prostitute. She is now working as a social worker.

This a kid who is currently studying at HELP University in Malaysia (MY OWN COLLEGE), I have been beaten by a 12 year old boy...what an embarassment.....it took me 2 years while I was studying at Sunway(I was 20 at that time) to realize that I'm actually quite smart and able to nail anything if I work harder. But this boy, solve everything related to Chemistry with ease. Dang...I hate chemistry. But his mom is quite pretty, isnt she?......

He is a scientific child prodigy and former baby genius. He is six years old. He spoke his first words after a couple of weeks of life, began crawling at four months, walking at six months, running at eight months. This makes him probably the world's earliest crawler, earliest walker, earliest talker - and earliest runner. He was also an exceptionally early reader: at eight months, he showed letter recognition. Also at eight months he was able to climb into and out of his wooden cot, of a traditional design. This is a feat fit for an acrobat.

He showed an investigative approach to the world from very early on, always checking the full properties and nature of things, in a bewilderingly fast cataloguing of possibilities. At one year of age, he held a very remarkable conversation in which he gave us an account of his own birth, as witnessed by someone whose perspective was from inside the womb. This was undoubtedly a genuine memory since we had never told him how he had come into the world: he was answering from his own memory of the birth experience. His memory remains uncannily retentive. Remarkably, Ainan had a basic understanding of time, at two months of age. He was clearly aware of the meaning and significance of a clock at two months, having taken to staring at it, and preparing himself for the return of his mother, at the right time, each evening. He has shown gifts in science, art and music at various ages of his life, including composing some pieces of music last year, on the piano, which he learned to play a year ago. His main interest now is chemistry and the physical sciences in general. Incidentally, science is not taught in Singapore schools until Primary Three and Ainan has just completed Primary One. All his scientific knowledge comes from his own private studies, therefore: he is a largely self-taught young scientist.

Well that's all for now folks, I've got to go to bed because I have to wake up in the morning to go to the office. Yeah, douchebag works too....So, I'll definitely write more on this issue in the future...

Debate: Does Buying Cheaper Shoes Hurt Your Feet?

This is a myth that has been circulating over the past few years or even decade. They say having an expensive or a branded pair of shoes will give you more comfortable feeling and satisfaction than having cheaper ones. As a fan of cheaper and non-branded shoes, I personally think that this is not a myth nor a rumour. Buying a pair of cheap shoes might not hurt your feet. I personally think that buying a cheaper pair of shoes is like choosing a quick fix method to solve your problems. I've been in many situations where my shoes were torn apart after I had worn them for just couple of weeks. They might not hurt your feet, but they definitely break your heart. Therefore, I had made a pledge some time ago that I would never buy any shoes for less than Rp300,000 or around US$300.

I'm not a fashionista nor a fashion expert. But, I can assure you that buying expensive or branded shoes will give you more pros than contras, satisfaction and feel good feeling when you wear them in your daily activities. I'm not saying that I will stop buying cheap shoes (coz if you are a really good shopper, you might actually get a bargain), I'm just saying if you go for a quality in purchasing things such as shoes, it won't hurt to pay a bit more to get what you want. Does buying cheaper shoes hurt your feet or not? well, you just need to try them on before you buy them. In the end, expensive shoes equal to quality while cheap shoes are temporary. What do you think?

Its Playoff Time Baby!!!, Western Conference

Alooohaaaaa, its me, d douchebag has returned to give you nightmare with my weird kind of writing style. Anyway, I'm about to continue my insight review on 2011 NBA playoff, this time is Western Conference. Some people has been saying that Western Conference is more competitive than Eastern. However, I have to disagree with that. I think the most exciting talents in NBA are mostly doing their things in the East although I have to admit that the defending champion is currently residing in the West. So, its pretty much balance in the end. Alrity then, without further delay, lets get this prediction done.

LA Lakers vs New Orlean Hornets

By the time I'm writing this blog, the series is tied at 1-1 scoreline. What surprised me is the Hornets, which I predicted would not give any problems to Lakers, has been playing a quick and efficient basketball game. Chris Paul has been enjoying this series while scoring quite number of points along the way. On the opposite end, another Paul (well, its actually Pau), Pau Gasol is having horrible and torrid time during this year playoff so far. If he keeps playing below his standard, Lakers might need to go to seven games to outlast the Hornets. So, my prediction is Lakers will regroup and show their quality as a defending champion, while Hornets will try to hurt them in using their quick and fast yet efficient movement on the court. LA Lakers in 6.

San Antonio Spurs vs Memphis Grizzlies

The second NBA best team this year has been struggling to overcome this grizzlies team. The series remain tied at 1-1. So far, Spurs has yet to excell against the Grizzlies since the regular season. Fortunately, Manu Ginobilli and Tim Duncan is slowly recovering from their respective injuries on time to inspire their goal in winning NBA title this year. On the other hand, Grizzlies that has younger rosters compared to their counterpart, will never surrender without a fight. This is very interesting matchup, but based on their experience, San Antonio Spurs will once again come up on top in Game 7.

Dallas Maverick vs Portland Trail Blazers

This might be last chance for Dallas Maverick team to win at least one NBA championship before their players go into retirement. Dallas with its vast experienced players would be too much to handle by this inconsistent Portland team. Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidds, Shawn Marion and former sixth man of the year Jason Terry are not just ordinary veteran players, they have good combination of talents and mentality to carry this Dallas team to progress through this series. Portland with their younger talents such as Brandon Roy and Gerrard Wallace are remains doubtful to match the more experience Dallas Maverick team. In the end, I will say Dallas will beat Portland 4-2.

Denver Nuggets vs Oklahoma Thunder

There are some great expectations when we start talking about this exciting Oklahoma Thunder team. They almost caused an upset last year, so they are looking to move further this year. Kevin Durant and Russel Brook will lead this young Thunders to pass the improving Demver team. This will be a tight contest between these two teams but I can only see one clear winner in this series. Thunder in 5.

There you have it. I might be wrong in one or two cases, but I still think experience will prevail instead of speed and power. Overall, we are about to witness exciting basketball games in this year playoff and hopefully, some few surprises in the process. Douchebag out.
